Collaborations and Stages 2009
Cortopotere ShortFilmFestival of Bergamo is getting ready for its 9th edition! Born in 2000, the festival has developed in the years and it has consolidated in the urban and national cinematic panorama. It opened to the international competition in 2007. Cortopotere ShortFilmFestival was born and has developed to promote and support the world of short films; it offers more opportunity of visibility to the short format, still orphan of a own market of distribution.The festival is promoted and organizated by Associazione Fidelio, a cultural society which aim is the promotion and the support of the movie distribution; with this purpose, it organizes cineforums and didactic paths of knowledge and analysis of short films in Bergamo city and province. Next edition will take place in fall, from 25th to 31st October 2009. There is the opportunity to collaborate with the organization of the festival doing periods of training for free; students could do trainings if they are interested to have a direct experience in organizational staff of a cinema event.
Starting from the middle of June, the trainings will last at least three or four months; they will be part time or full time jobs, from Monday to Friday, depending on the kind of activities that will be done. In accordance with the period of the training, the activities will be: management and updating of database, cataloguing and filing of the movies, contacts with other international and national cinema festivals, activities of communication and promotion of the event, collaboration on researching and selecting movies, editing and translation of the publications of the festival: catalogue and programme, translation and subtitles of selected movies, management of the accommodation and accrediting press/public, management and updating of the website, editing and graphics of Cartapotere - paper of critique and review of the Festival.
