International Awards

The international jury Filmidee (Daniela Persico, Alessandro Stellino, Tommaso Isabella, Gabriele Gimmelli)

awards the prize for Best International short film to:

Qu Da Hai De Lu Shang (On the way to the sea)
by Tao Gu, China/Canada

For the balance between documentary and visual research, and the ability to find an aesthetic elaboration that avoids the risks of sublime and pathos when facing a catastrophe. And because it shows us how cinema still can - and should - be a means of testimony and memory, trying and finding forms which methodically incarnate the debt that images owe to the real.

The judges also wish to underline their appraisal for two short films, considered worthy of mention:

Keha Malu (Body Memories)
by Ulo Pikkov, Estonia

Because, using different techniques and nuances, they create powerful and evocative visual situations.

Ich Bin's Helmut (It's me Helmut) by
Nicolas Steiner e Stefanie Ren, Switzerland

Because, using different techniques and nuances, they create powerful and evocative visual situations.

The audience award goes to:

Vicenta by Sam Orti, Spain

National Awards

awards the prize for Best national short film to:

Omero bello di nonna by Marco Chiarini

For its delicacy in dealing with the complex theme of psychic and psychological distress, for the fantasy of its graphic animation and for the balance of the story, expressed by light and ironic tones, but never banal.

The audience award goes to:

Io sono qui by Mario Piredda, Italia
